When Holy Trinity Guernsey were looking at a complete rebrand of their website they stressed the importance of using ChurchSuite to engage with their visitors, along with the need to let their imagery reflect the culture of the church.

ChurchSuite

ChurchSuite is software designed in the UK to help churches with the day to day running of the church, including

• integrating newcomers,
• sign-ups to Alpha or other courses,
• publishing groups or events, and
• managing volunteers, rotas, home groups etc.

Many of the churches that we work with use ChurchSuite and have found it a great way to connect with visitors and to help them to feel welcomed. Holy Trinity had already seen how this software had increased engagement with their community and so wanted their ChurchSuite events to feature prominently on their home page.

The Redesign

We worked closely with Holy Trinity's branding expert James to create a site that not only reflected Trinity's new branding, but also enabled visitors to see precisely what was going on at the church and engage with it. James gave us very strong direction on each page's styling, and and provided us with stunning images to work with.

Our challenge was to bring in ChurchSuite's events dynamically on the site's home page in a way that made them look like an integral part of the design rather than them looking like they are being pulled in off another website even though that is what is actually happening. With some clever coding we were able to fulfil this requirement so that the the events from ChurchSuite were styled to match Trinity's brand, and appear seamlessly within the website.

Each event page had the ChurchSuite event embedded at the bottom of the page, which gave continuity to the website.

The Outcome

The Holy Trinity Guernsey rebrand brought a completely different look and feel to the website. The church were delighted with the new site and have loved how updates to ChurchSuite appear automatically on the home page.
