Cookie Consent on Church Pages' Websites Gets an Update

We have refreshed the Cookie Consent banner that appears on all Church Pages' website with a new look and options for preferences.

All Church Pages' customers without a completed Privacy Policy are being urged to complete the policy so that their web visitor can read it and decide their cookie preferences.

With amends to the Data Protection Act 2018 being enacted shortly there does seem to be a lessening of certain requirements for consent on non-commercial organisations, which will enable churches and charities to rely on a "soft opt-in" for direct marketing purposes. Web analytics will also be allowed to be used without consent, although we have included these as a preference at the moment as we are waiting for the amendments to come into force.
