ChristChurch, Fulham

"We have loved working with ChurchPages on our new website. They really took the time to get to know us and our church and what we wanted out of a website.

This has meant that not only does our new website do what we need it to but it also looks and feels like our church too. The design of it is beautiful and streamline, we are so happy with the final outcome.

Throughout the process the team at ChurchPages have been incredibly helpful with all of our questions and have been a delight to work with!"

Anna Norburn- Administrator, ChristChurch Fulham

ChristChurch Fulham is a vibrant community in South West London, who welcome people from all backgrounds and also serve the church with their Jesus Ministries and Pastor's Days. In February 2017 the church was looking to update their website and having seen Harbour Church's site they contacted Harbour Church Portsmouth to find out how they found working with us. This was the reply that they received from the leader of the Harbour Church:

"We absolutely love Church Pages who manage our website, they're an amazing Christian company, and they are super friendly and helpful."

From this recommendation ChristChurch contacted us and we began the journey of creating their website. The team at Church Pages worked with with ChristChurch Fulham so that the website reflected their vision of making ChristChurch a welcoming home. It was also imperative that the website worked on all devices, could be edited simply by the team at ChristChurch, and included plenty of places to contact the church regarding their various events.

How the website was designed and built

ChristChurch Fulham were blessed to have a wealth of talent in their congregation. This helped us to create the bespoke website that they wanted because we were given a brand document, professionally shot images, and excellent copy to work with. Having had an existing website and knowing what they wanted the new site to look like helped the process enormously.

The finished website has the following features:

  • A highly engaging home page that clearly reflects ChristChurch's heart for people.
  • A home page that can be easily edited to include the promotion of events.
  • The Church's Google calendar online so that everyone can see what is happening when.
  • An embedded link to Church Suite.
  • Access controlled areas for congregation and leaders.
  • Sermons uploaded.
  • Google map so that the church can be found easily.
  • Links to social media so that the website is a useful method of connecting online.

Once the site was how ChristChurch Fulham wanted it to be we provided training to their team so that they felt confident to make changes to the site themselves, knowing that we are only an email or phone call away.

What else did Church Pages do?

To help ChristChurch Fulham to be found online we added in optimisation tags for the website and gave training on how this can be done on a Church Pages website. We also filled in the structure data settings for Google and added in web stats so that the church could see the number of visitors to their site, and what actions they took when they got there.

How did the website switch from the old one to the new Church Pages website?

We knew that ChristChurch wanted to keep their email where it was, and so we asked them to change their domain name's A record to the Church Pages IP address and added in the relevant aliases.

Conclusion

The team at Church Pages were really pleased to have worked with ChristChurch Fulham to design a modern, responsive website that reflect the core values of the church.
