Roxeth Community Church, Harrow.

"It’s been a huge blessing working with the Church Pages team and we’re absolutely delighted with our new website. The whole process has been marked by their friendliness, expertise, patience and willingness to ‘go the extra mile’.

We made a whole host of changes and tweaks along the way, as is true of most website builds I suspect, but we were never made to feel awkward about that – there was a real sense that the Church Pages team wanted the website to look as good and function as well as we did. I’m pretty ignorant around website, coding and digital vocabulary and it was a Godsend to have Heather and her colleagues at the other end of the phone willing to take me step by step through any of the process that I had to carry out.

We are really pleased to have Church Pages hosting the website too. It’s quick, functions smoothly and I know those of us responsible for it at church are happy (and relieved) that we have some friendly help a telephone call away if things ever hit a glitch.

We can’t recommend this ministry highly enough."

David Herbert, Roxeth Community Church, Harrow

Roxeth Community Church, Harrow had a website that had served them well, but they wanted a site that better represented who they were as a church, and that they could easily update themselves.

The church is blessed with a fabulous designer who had created a very strong brand for the church that reflected its diverse and friendly nature. With a heart to take Jesus and His gospel out to their neighbourhood and beyond, Roxeth Community Church were looking for a website that would encourage those outside of the church to feel welcome, whilst being a place of information for their congregation.

After a couple of telephone conversations an application for a Church Pages' website was made and the process commenced.

How the website was designed and built

Roxeth Community Church wanted to have a website that reflected their designer's mock ups. They chose the Boaz template, but wanted some amends to match their thoughts on how the website might look. There was a great deal of collaboration with Roxeth's designer, who understood that print is quite a different medium from web and that ensuring that a design works on all devices, i.e. responsively, is highly challenging. Also there is often the problem with legibility with the web that is not so strongly encountered in print.

Roxeth were also fortunate to have a professional photographer in their congregation and so the images that we were sent through were very strong and well shot. The finished website benefits from the following:

A friendly and vibrant home page that reflects the heart of the church.

A website that can be easily accessed and navigated by their older members.

Sermons uploaded.

Google map so that the church can be found easily.

Links to social media so that people can connect online

The Church Pages team enjoyed working with Roxeth particularly working with a fabulous designer and the team at Roxeth.

What else did Church Pages do?

Church Pages worked closely with Roxeth so that the proposed designs worked responsively. We also added optimisation tags and structured data, and gave training on how to edit the website.

How did the website go live?

When Roxeth Community Church were happy with the website they changed the A record of their domain name to point to Church Pages' server.

Conclusion

It was really exciting to work with the team at Roxeth and to help them to create the website that they wanted.

"The redesign of our church identity and website was a major project for St Margaret’s. We are extremely pleased with the result"

"We see the website, designed specifically to be outward looking, as St Margaret’s ‘electronic brochure’. The site also has a quick link to Church Suite for church members. Thanks to both Andy (our brand consultant and designer) and Church Pages for guiding us through this complex and exciting process."

David Guthrie, responsible for Communications at St Margaret’s

Andy Ashdown, of Ashdown Creative, approached Church Pages to see how we could work collaboratively to create a new website for St Margaret's Church in Angmering. The church wanted something that was not only outward looking, but also served their members well via Church Suite.

How the website was designed and built

Andy Ashdown worked closely with St Margaret's to create their brand and our design team worked closely with the church to create a site that met their brief and benefited from Church Pages' experience in UX and web design. The finished website benefits from the following:

A highly impactful home page that immediately engages the visitor.

A site that serves the village and the congregation.

An embedded link to Church Suite.

Access controlled areas for congregation and leaders.

Links to live services that are searchable.

Links to social media so that people can connect online

A site that can be fully maintained by the church.

Conclusion

We were very pleased with the final website and pleased to see how seamlessly Church Suite can work with our software. We are praying that the site will be a blessing to the church and the local community.

Church of the Living God, Twickenham

"The site has taken shape beautifully and we are very pleased with it."

Kiara, Church of the Living God, Twickenham

Zac Abraham, the pastor of Church of the Living God (CotLG) first contacted us to discuss hosting his website. After chatting with us, and finding out that we had a ChurchSuite integration the church decided that they wanted a bespoke website that was easier to edit, and better reflected their community.

How the website was designed and built

We worked very closely with CotLG to ensure that we worked within their brief and provided the website that they were hoping for. We were deeply moved by their church's videos and wanted to ensure that the website reflected the sense of family and togetherness that the congregation clearly felt. The depth of relationships between members were clearly visible from their imagery and it was important to us that this was clear from the design.

The finished website benefits from the following:

A welcoming home page that includes video to help the visitor to find out more about CotLG.

A site that serves the village and the congregation.

An embedded link to Church Suite.

Access controlled areas for congregation and leaders.

Links to sermons that are filtered so can be searched.

Links to social media so that people can connect online.

Verse of the day widget that changes the bible verse daily.

A site that can be fully maintained by the church.

The Church Pages team were pleased with the end result.

What else did Church Pages do?

We added in custom design in places to give the site its own identity. From the logo we chose the site's colours, and ensured that they worked well to provide an aesthetic look to the site.

We also chose the images from the amazing selection that we were sent to reflect the joy, friendship, and fellowship that is at the heart of the church. The passion for the Word and for Jesus shines through all that they do, and we wanted that to shine through the website.

As part of the design fee we added optimisation tags to all pages, and provided a comprehensive training session for the team at CotLG so that they could learn how to edit their site. Within this advice was given on how to add title tags to pages and the importance of content for search engines.

We were daily on hand during the first few weeks of the site's launch as CotLG became familiar with how to edit their site.

The Church Pages' software integrates with Google Analytics, but we also added in analytics software that is very simple to use to help CotLG see how their site performs.

Conclusion

We were pleased with the final website and happy that CotLG could use ChurchSuite to help promote events, services, and reach out to the community with ease.

Church Crawley

"When you lead three churches you just know that your website is going to be crucial, but so often in the busyness of all the other tasks that you just don’t seem to have the time or the expertise to invest in it.

And then along came Church Pages and the Khooseller team...

They took the worry and demands of website design off our hands. They listened to what we wanted the website to portray and the function we wanted the website to perform. They then created a beautiful and practical website that ticks all of our users boxes.

Thank you so much Church Pages for your listening, expertise and reliability."

Steve Burston, Church Crawley

HTB Brighton's church plant into St John's Crawley meant that the church required a new website that reflected their mission statement to 'Love Jesus, Love People, Love Church and Love Crawley'. When the church grew by inviting St Peter's and St Richard's to join them in their mission, the website needed a radical overhaul to reflect the new family of churches.

You can see the website here.

How the website was designed and built

With such a radical change Church Crawley wanted a new website that reflected that they were one Church, whilst being three churches. With new branding and photographs Church Pages was set the task of creating a website that had two-tier navigation, whilst being easy to manage. The Church had always maintained the site themselves (with help from us when requested or needed), and so it was essential that the site could be edited simply, and work seamlessly with ChurchSuite,

The finished website benefits from the following:

A highly engaging home page that reflects the mission of the church.

Navigation that enables the visitor to find information about the individual churches.

A website that reflects the Church's branding.

Seamless integration with ChurchSuite throughout the site.

Sermons uploaded.

Google map so that the different Churches can be found easily.

Links to social media so that people can connect online.

A website that reflects the culture of the Church and Crawley.

The Church Pages team enjoyed the challenge of working on the website and were pleased with the finished design.

What else did Church Pages do?

Church Pages added optimisation tags and structured data to the site, as well as analytics.

How did the website go live?

When everything was ready then we helped Church Crawley with pointing their domains to our servers so that the new site could be seen.

Conclusion

This was a very challenging project for us, but we were pleased to be able to serve Steve and Liz Burston as they press on with their vision for Crawley.

How the website was designed and built

We were approached by Bellevue Chapel, Edinburgh to update their website. They wanted a site that reflected their warmth and values, as well as being easy to edit. The church chose to have a bespoke website so that they could incorporate some of their ideas on what they wanted to feature on their home page. It was also important that the website worked seamlessly with ChurchSuite.

Bellevue Chapel also wanted to incorporate a video on their home page. Church Pages used their skills to create a video that gives an excellent introduction to the church. We also edited all the images to ensure that they match the branding of the site.

The finished website benefits from the following:

An engaging home page with plenty of calls to action.

A video that encapsulates the warmth and heart of the church.

An embedded link to Church Suite.

Searchable links to services.

A members' login area.

Links to social media so that people can connect online

A site that can be fully maintained by the church.

St Peter's Church, Guernsey

"We have found Church Pages to be an excellent website designer and developer for the Parish Church of St. Pierre du Bois, Guernsey. Heather and her team were able to take time to listen to what we wanted to achieve and to lead us through this process with sensitivity, expertise and professionalism. We are very grateful to them to allow us to have a website that reflects our values and practice. Thank you so much"

Rev Dr Adrian Datta, Rector, St. Pierre du Bois, Guernsey

St Peter's Church, Guernsey (also known as St Pierre du Bois) is an ancient parish church that celebrates hospitality, hope, and humour. Being a sister church of Holy Trinity, Guernsey Adrian was already aware of how easy Church Pages was to use and so contacted us so that we could help him to have a website that reflects his and St Peter's heart for Guernsey.

How the website was designed and built

As a sister church to Holy Trinity Guernsey it was important that the St Peter's website was not too dissimilar to theirs. They chose the Boaz template and were fortunate enough to access to some stunning professionally shot photographs. These really helped to set the tone of the site, which needed to celebrate the fact that St Pierre du Bois has been a place of worship for centuries, whilst not losing site of the need to be relevant to this generation.

Starting from scratch helped in certain respects. Although Adrian had a strong sense of what he wanted from the site he was happy to be guided by the Church Pages' team as we designed and built the site. It was exciting as everything came together and what had been spoken about and envisaged became a reality.

The finished website benefits from:

A responsive website that celebrates the tradition of the church whilst feeling warm and welcoming.

An easy to navigate website

A site that can be updated by the church themselves without needing any knowledge of HTML or code.

A friendly team at the end of the phone to help if need be.

What else did Church Pages do?

Being a new site we added in optimisation tags to the site and provided a link to their Facebook page.

How did the website go live?

Making the site live was simple as St Pierre du Bois pointed their domain to their new Church Pages website.

Conclusion

We really enjoyed partnering with Adrian, Chris, and the team at St Peter's Church Guernsey to provide a website that not only met their needs, but they felt confident enough to edit themselves.

" It has been a pleasure working with you, and you have been such a huge help (and very patient!)."

Pete Walters, Leadership Team, Kings Church, Iver

Kings Church, Iver describes itself as a growing community of Jesus' followers who live to show God's love to the people in and around Iver, Buckinghamshire. And what a wonderfully enthusiastic and committed bunch of people they are, working tirelessly to ensure that the website reflected their culture and their love for Jesus and their community.

How the website was designed and built

Pete Walters found Church Pages online and got in touch because he liked our vision, and knew that we could design a website that met his requirements. Blessed with a team with multi-faceted design skills Kings Church, Iver were able to provide excellent photographs, branding, and direction on what the church wanted.

This was a bespoke site, with the team at Church Pages working closely with Kings Church's team to ensure that the website was precisely what they wanted.

The finished website benefits from:

A strongly branded responsive website that is poignant for this time of lockdown.

A highly engaging website making good use of video on the home page and Film folder.

An Instagram feed so the site links seamlessly with social media.

An easy to navigate website that is outward reaching and clearly reflects the culture of the church.

What else did Church Pages do?

As with all our Church Pages' websites we optimised the site, created 301 redirects, provided training, and set up structured data. We also installed a Secure Certificate.

How did the website go live?

Kings Church, Iver set up the A record to point to their new site so that they could maintain their email with their existing provider.

Conclusion

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Pete Walters because his enthusiasm was infectious. His passion for Jesus, and his desire to impact his community with the Gospel shone through at every stage. Everything we asked for, he provided from strong imagery to excellent copy, and in turn we created what he and his team had in mind.

Zoom proved to be our friend as different members of Church Pages, and Kings Church, Iver found themselves working from home, but despite this we are very pleased with the end result.

Haven Green Baptist Church, Ealing Launches New Website

"'We had been aware for some time that our website desperately needed updating as it was looking very tired and ‘clunky’. We are so blessed to have found Church Pages in our search for a new template. Working with Heather and her team has been a delight; their attention to detail, strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile to support our church has resulted in a fantastic looking and functioning website! We have received so many compliments on how well the website reflects the warm and welcoming nature of our church which was one of our key aims. I am looking forward to working with them in partnership to continue to deliver a dynamic website to meet the needs of our church and wider community."

Margaret Markie, Church Administrator, Haven Green Baptist Church, Islington

Haven Green Baptist Church, Ealing describes itself as "a diverse community, joyfully worshipping God with our whole lives, and joining with Him in transforming Ealing and beyond." And when you read their website, and see their truly engaging photos, you will get a sense of what a warm and friendly church it is.

Haven Green made contact with Church Pages during lockdown 2020 because they wanted a more user-friendly website. With the onset of lockdown the church wanted to incorporate live services on their site, as well as have a site that was easy to update themselves, and could be used to engage with their local community.

The church had its own brand document and had clear objectives, which helped to give us here at Church Pages clear guidelines on what Haven Green Baptist Church wanted from their website.

How the website was designed and built

With a clear remit of what Haven Green Baptist Church wanted we set to work creating the website using the Boaz template. We were particularly impressed with the quality of the photographs. All of them worked well responsively, and were beautifully shot to provide warm and engaging images. Being able to capture members of the congregation without them noticing is a real art, and certainly helps to add to the user's experience.

The finished website benefits from:

A contemporary responsive website that is professional and engaging.

A website that enables visitors to quickly access links to the live services.

A members area where the congregation can access information.

A website that loads quickly and is easy to navigate.

A website that can be managed in-house by Haven Green Baptist Church.

A website that has already received positive feedback.

Support at the end of the phone when required.

What else did Church Pages do?

We optimised the site and gave training on how to manage the site so that Haven Green were confident in making changes themselves.

How did the website go live?

Haven Green Baptist Church redirected their domain to point to the Church Pages' server so that the website was launched on the required date.

Conclusion

We really enjoyed creating this website as the images and branding were strong, and the warmth of Haven Green Baptist Church really shone through the images and the copy. The site has worked well for them since its launch and we are pleased that we have been able to help with this

Igreja Baptista do Funchal, Madeira

"' We must have to say how grateful we are for Church Pages for all the help received during the whole process of our church’s webpage creation and putting it live."

"No words are enough about the support we received. They were always there guiding us in every single step. Thank you Church Pages for your support, even separated with thousands of miles and creating this in a very different language. This is a blessed company."

"May God bless you!"

Ismael Luzia, Funchal Baptist Church, Madeira

Igreja Baptista do Funchal, Madeira is a warm and welcoming Baptist Church in Funchal. It is a growing church that places the Gospel and relationships at its centre. Amongst visitors to the island it is known as Funchal Baptist Church, with an English service every Sunday morning. It was through the English service that we first got to know the church, and despite our lack of Portuguese we attended the evening service (quietly translated for us) and enjoyed the teaching and the warm welcome.

How the website was designed and built

Funchal Baptist Church wanted to update their website so that it worked well on mobile devices and helped their community to know more about them. They are also very busy refurbishing an old church to provide a new church building, and wanted the site to have information on this, that could be updated as the project progressed.

Portuguese websites do have a slightly different look to UK websites and so we worked very closely with Ismael to ensure that the site was culturally appropriate. Together we chose colours, images, and the hierarchy of the site. There were times when Google translate let us down, but fortunately Ismael was on hand to help us. Who would have known that there were subtle differences between Brazilian Portuguese and Madeiran Portuguese?!

Although we were happy to create a bespoke site for the church the layout of the site fitted with the Isaiah template and so this template became the basis of the site.

The finished website benefits from:

A website that is responsive, and looks clean and well designed

A website that met the needs of the Madeiran church.

A website that can edited simply when required.

What else did Church Pages do?

We optimised the site and created a Union Jack to the English Service page.

We also provided Ismael training so that he could update the site himself.

How did the website go live?

Igreja Baptista do Funchal had their own domain and we helped them with the domain settings so that their site and email (which we provided) worked.

Conclusion

Having been regular visitors to Igreja Baptista do Funchal we were keen to help the church to have a strong web presence on the island of Madeira. We were pleased with the end result, and grateful for all the help Ismael (and his wife Varnia) gave us in inputting the copy for the site.

Holy Trinity Church, Guernsey

"Thanks so much for all the work you guys did on the new Trinity website. All the feedback has been really positive and it has been really well received. Thanks again..

James Le Tissier - Creative Lead &| Young Adults Pastor, Holy Trinity Guernsey Church

Holy Trinity Guernsey Church is a vibrant church in the town of St Peter Port, Guernsey. At the beginning of 2022 the church decided to go for a complete rebrand of the website. James Le Tissier had a clear idea of what he wanted the website to look like, which included ChurchSuite events seamlessly onto the website.

You can see the website here.

How the website was designed and built

From the start of the project we worked very closely with James to create the website that he had imagined. We were provided with a brand document and layouts to help us to create the pages. Bespoke presets were made and we worked with ChurchSuite to ensure that the events were fully integrated into home page..

A very engaging home page that provides clear calls to action.

A bespoke designed Feature banner that Holy Trinity can easily update.

Fully integrated ChurchSuite events that immediately engage the web visitor.

Embedded notes from ChurchSuite at the bottom of certain pages

Embedded feed from Instagram.

Rotating logo (animated with CSS code) to add interest in the footer.

What else did Church Pages do?

We also added in optimisation tags for the website to help Google know what the website and its contents were about. We knew that this would also help the website to be found by Google and hopefully assist members of the public looking for a church in Guernsey to find Holy Trinity via Google or Bing.

How did the website switch from the old one to the new Church Pages website?

As Church Pages provides the domain name server for the domain holytrinity.org.gg it was easy to switch to the new site.

Conclusion

We were pleased with the outcome of the site as it is highly engaging and easy to navigate. We are particularly pleased with the way that ChurchSuite's events sit seamlessly within the home page and the way that the rotating logo adds interest.

St Matthew's Church, Bristol

"We are thrilled with our new website from Church Pages. It has totally transformed our communication in so many ways. It was great working with you and Church Pages - so very patient, understanding, insightful and creative. It was thrilling to see the new site emerge. The layout is great - clear, contemporary, relevant and upbeat. Making all the connections with Church Suite is also enabling much better all round communication and administration for us. It is all and more that we hoped for, and is a central part of our moving forward as a church community post pandemic, and how we want to present our mission and ministry.

Thank you so much!"

Revd Ian Tomkins Vicar, St Matthew's Church, Bristol

St Matthew's Church, Bristol is a warm and welcoming church located in Kingsdown. The church desires to worship God and to encourage growth in faith and service of the community.

How the website was designed and built

Revd Ian Tomkins approached Church Pages with some questions about our website software. He wanted to know how easy it was to edit and whether it would work with ChurchSuite. We worked closely with Ian for some considerable time as he took the church on a gentle journey towards understanding that the church would benefit from a more modern website before an application to have a website was made.

The church was blessed with help from an ordinand Rob Cromwell, who had clear ideas as to what the church's demographic needed from a website. We worked closely with him to create a completely new website that wasn't quite bespoke, but benefitted from new elements that had not been used in a templated Church Pages design before.

It was very important to St Matthew's that the emphasis of the website was functionality on a mobile. We therefore decreased line length, used graphic blocks to help navigation, and integrated seamlessly with ChurchSuite. The site was based on the Isaiah template, but was tweaked to give the site a more bespoke look.

The finished website benefits from:

A modern, clean, and user-friendly website

A responsive site designed specifically for mobiles

Seamless integration with ChurchSuite - see Events Page

Sign up for Alpha that links directly to ChuchSuite

Embedded YouTube videos for services and thoughts

Optimisation

What else did Church Pages do?

We worked closely with St Matthews to source images that were shot in Bristol and reflected the content of the site. We added in optimisation to the website, and gave training on how to edit the software. In addition we suggested that the church might want to use Google not for profit email, which they had not heard of, but provided the ideal solution for them.

We also added in web stats.

How did the website go live?

Once the church was happy with the finished site, and training had been undertaken on how to make changes to the site, St Matthews made us their name servers so that we could make the site live.

Conclusion

The website is providing an excellent platform for the church to engage with its community. It has been well received by the congregation and has improved the churches communication.

"I'm thrilled with the website.

Gathering information and photographs for our website has been a very interesting experience. My IT skills are not great, but I learned so much, and whenever I was puzzled about how to send information or pictures to the Church Pages' Team I always had a clear explanation (and a patient one).

We as a church, are very happy with the resulting website, and have had many compliments on it."

Carol Guille, St Martin's Church, Guernsey

St Martin's Church, Guernsey is a warm and friendly church in Guernsey. The church's vision is to see God’s love transform their lives, thier community, and their world.

How the website was designed and built

Carol contacted us having seen a couple of other churches' websites. She knew that she might find the process of having St Martin's website redesigned challenging, and wanted to work with a company that was there to support her. As Church Pages' aim is to support churches in their mission to outreach to their community then we were a good fit for Carol.

Fortunately Guernsey is a very beautiful island and so Carol supplied us with some outstanding photographs. We were also supplied with engaging photos from the every day life of the church, which helped to make the site look warm and friendly.

The embedded YouTube video on the home page of the website gave Rev Daniel Foot and opportunity to engage with the web visitor in a welcoming and warm way, making clear what the aim of the church was. His smiling face reflects the entire site, which was designed to be friendly, engaging, and easy to navigate.

We also worked with the logo colours to create a colour palette for the website that perfectly reflected the church. Harmonious colours were chosen that were warm, easy to read, and made the site clean and uncluttered.

The finished website benefits from:

A highly engaging website that benefits from and easy to use Content Management System

A responsive site designed that works well on mobiles

A site wide search

Sign up for Alpha on the home page that encourages visitors to find out more about the course

Embedded YouTube video of Rev Daniel Foot

A "Verse of the Day" panel that updates automatically.

Optimisation

What else did Church Pages do?

We provided training, sourced loyalty free images, and optimised the site.

We also added in web stats.

How did the website go live?

Once we had the go ahead from the church to make the site live then we helped them with the practicalities of changing the domain name's records.

Conclusion

The church is very pleased with the new website, particularly the ease in which content can be changed and updated. It has been very well received by the congregation and will be an essential way in which the church can engage with their community.

St Mary Magdalene Church, Wandsworth

"Thank you for all your hard work on the website. We are really pleased with it".

Philippa Boardman, St Mary Magdalene Church, Wandsworth

St Mary Magdalene Church, Wandsworth is a lively and inclusive church that is eager to give a warm welcome to everyone.

How the website was designed and built

When the contact form from Philippa first came in we could see that the church were in a bit of a difficult situation because they had had a website designed recently, but their provider had told them that they could no longer support the site. We called as soon as we received the email and started to create St Mary Magdalene's website in Church Pages.

The Isaiah template seemed the best fit for St Mary Magdalene, and we were fortunate enough to have a brand document, copy, and images. The site was large, with well over a hundred pages and so we set to work to create the site within the time limit of 6 weeks. We wanted the website to look modern without compromising the traditional feel of the church. We used effects to make the site more engaging and provided training so that the team at St Mary Magdalene could add pages themselves so that the information on the soldiers commemorated on the Memorial Rood Screen could be completed.

The finished website benefits from:

A highly engaging website that benefits from and easy to use Content Management System.

A branded site that clearly represents Wandsworth and the church.

Clear navigation that improves the user's experience.

Strong use of imagery to reflect the church's activities.

A blog to keep the local community aware of what is happening at the church.

What else did Church Pages do?

We provided training, sourced loyalty free images, and optimised the site.

We also added in web stats.

Completed the site within the time constraints given.

How did the website go live?

Once everything was in place we worked with St Mary Magdalene's existing provider to get the site live with no down time for the church's email.

Conclusion

The church were pleased with the new site, and that it was completed within the time that Church Pages had promised them.

"We are a small rural church community with fairly little technical knowhow and the task of renewing our website has been daunting both in terms of costs and the knowledge required. Church Pages have been absolutely amazing to work with and supported us every step of the way. Heather and her team have given plenty of helpful advice and guidance on how to provide responsive website content and visuals. I particularly valued their ethos around upskilling smaller church communities and enjoyed taking part in the tailor made tutorial on website maintenance.

We are not only proud of our brand new website but we have also learnt new skills along the way. A huge thank you from the St Saviours Church community to Heather and her team for their patience, ideas and support. We were blessed to have found you."

Kristin Dowling, St Saviour's Church, Guernsey

St Saviour's Church, Guernsey is a church community of all ages that believe that the journey through life and Christian faith should not be made alone. Christians have been celebrating their faith at the church for over 700 years, with the vision of the church to be a family, that nurtures and makes a positive impact on the community that they serve.

How the website was designed and built

As with many church websites St Saviour's was in need of an update, However, this was a challenge for a smaller rural church and so they wanted to work with a company who would help them every step of the way, and were on hand once the site went live if they had any questions.

The church liked the Isaiah template because it had all the elements that the church needed. Featuring the times of services on the home page was important to them, and they particularly liked the fact that they could simply change the links on the home page themselves to feature upcoming events.

Working with the church's logo we were able to create a site that reflected their history and warmth, and that was easy to navigate and edit.

The finished website benefits from:

A warm and welcoming website that can be easily edited.

A responsive site designed that works well on mobiles and tablets.

A site wide search.

A "Verse of the Day" panel that updates automatically.

Optimisation

What else did Church Pages do?

Training was provided on how to edit the website and we added in free web stats so that the church could see how the website was performing.

How did the website go live?

Once we had the go ahead from the church to make the site live then we helped them with the practicalities of changing the domain name's records.

Conclusion

The website was well received by the church's congregation and the admins have been busy keeping it up to date. Support is always on hand if Kristen and the team need it and with strong images the site is engaging and easy to navigate.

Royal Wootton Bassett Methodist Church

"Our new website looks completely different from the old one and has received nothing but praise from our church members (which is a difficult thing to achieve!).

We would have no hesitation in recommending Church Pages to other churches

Thank you Church Pages!

Peter Allison, Royal Wootton Bassett Methodist Church

Royal Wootton Bassett Methodist Church is a welcoming and friendly church that wants to grow in its love for, and knowledge of, the Lord Jesus Christ whilst serving their community in Royal Wootton Bassett.

You can see the website here.

How the website was designed and built

Peter Allison contacted Church Pages in late 2021 because the church wanted a fresh, clean, and modern website. It took some time for the project to be started, but once Royal Wootton were ready to go we worked with the Peter and Stephen from the church as they gathered all the information that was needed to create the website.

The site was based on the Isaiah template because the template has a clean and modern look, and is easy to navigate.

Royal Wootton Basset wanted the home page to help web visitors to immediately understand the heart of the church as well as give clear information about Sunday Services. A Members' area was also required so that the congregation could easily access documents and directories.

With usability a high priority for the church, the site was designed with clear calls to action and mobile users in mind.

The finished website benefits from:

A modern, clean, and user-friendly website

A responsive site designed that is easy to edit

An access controlled area for Members only.

A live calendar of all the Church's events

A blog where the Church can write news and let their community know what's on

Optimisation

What else did Church Pages do?

We chose the colours of the website and the font using Royal Wootton Bassett Methodist Church's logo as our starting point.

With expertise in commercial marketing we were able to help Peter and Stephen think about what messages they wanted to get across that communicated the heart of the Church to those people outside of it.

We added in optimisation to the website, and gave training on how to edit the software, and added in web stats.

How did the website go live?

Once the Church was happy with the finished site, and training had been undertaken on how to make changes to the site, Royal Wootton Bassett amended their domain settings so that their site could go live.

Conclusion

The feedback that we received was tremendous and it was good to know that the whole Church was pleased with the end result. Knowing that Royal Wootton Bassett Methodist Church is making a difference in their community, and shining Jesus' love and compassion to those within and outside of the Church makes our job worthwhile.

You can see Royal Wootton Bassett Methodist Church's website here.

I would like to include all of Peter's thoughts on working with Church Pages which are as follows:

I first became aware of Church Pages when I saw the website of a local church and was
immediately struck by how fresh, clean and modern their site looked. The link at the bottom of their home page took me to the Church Pages website, where I was able to see the wide range and consistent quality of their work.

I was also impressed by the long list of websites they had done, and what an wide range
they represented – there were city and country churches, traditional and more
contemporary, ethnic churches, every denomination and non-denominational ones were all
included. I contacted the “webmaster” of the local church mentioned above, and he was
very positive about his dealings with Church Pages in every way.

So what sort of things impressed me before we went “live” in February 2023? Firstly, I was
clearly dealing with a company in touch with the modern online world and with professional
standards. They were also aware of the wide range of churches in our country, which
manage to cater for Christians from all backgrounds and serve their communities.

They knew just what questions to ask, which we had never really asked ourselves before.

Things like “How would you describe your church in a couple of sentences?” “What kind of
message are you trying to project with your website?” As we were constructing the site with them, they were able to ask probing questions so that the finer details of our pages were “spot-on”.

Our previous website was maintained by just one person and was in urgent need of an
update. This was achieved such that our new website looks completely different from the
old one and has received nothing but praise from our church members (which is a difficult
thing to achieve). We now have two church members who are able to maintain the site and
share responsibilities from day-to-day, with the expertise of Church Pages to back us up.
Finally, this was achieved for a modest one-off fee, with the monthly hosting charges very
similar to those of our previous provider. We would have no hesitation in recommending
Church Pages to other churches.

Wilmslow Parish

"Thanks to all the team for their hard work. You have been amazing and very patient!

Feedback on our website has been effusive – people in the Parish are very impressed and complimentary.

We are ever so grateful for your work."

Eddie Roberts, Wilmslow Parish

Wilmslow Parish is a parish of two churches that's describes itself as "ordinary folk with all of the back stories, quirks and foibles you'd expect, but who come together as two worshipping communities to learn how to love God with all our hearts, and to try to love our neighbours at least as much as ourselves."

How the website was designed and built

Eddie Roberts contacted us as he'd worked with us previously and was confident that we would be able to design and build a website that was well designed, and easy to navigate. With two churches in Wilmslow Parish Eddie wanted to make sure that there was a clear visitor journey for folks landing on the home page.

We were pleased to be given a wonderful video of the church, and from that we were able to create a short video that reflects the warmth and fellowship found at Wilmslow Parish. There is one scene where Eddie is crouched down beside an older congregant as she receives communion, and the engagement between them is fabulous.

Working with the Parish's logo we were able to create a colour palette to use on the site, and design a website using the Isaiah template that showcases Wilmslow Parish as it is.

The finished website benefits from:

A highly engaging website that draws the visitor in immediately with a short impactful video that reflects the culture of the Parish.

Clear navigation to assist the user's journey.

A site wide search.

An embed of the full video so that visitors can learn more about the church.

Social media links.

Optimisation

What else did Church Pages do?

Along with the video editing we provided training, and edited the provided photographs to ensure that they worked well responsively..

We also added in web stats.

How did the website go live?

Once we had the go ahead from the church to make the site live then we helped them with the practicalities of changing the domain name's records.

Conclusion

We were pleased that we were able to help Wilmslow Parish with their website and are happy that it is working so well for them.

St Stephens Church, Guernsey

"Having sat in on a meeting with the people who were originally hosting our antiquated website, I confess that I was completely out of my depth. They were discussing the formats and domains etc. and using terminology that they were all comfortable with, but which meant little to me. They appeared to be very competent and clued up as to what they could offer, and it all sounded great.

Their quote then duly arrived and it was horrendous – with ever increasing costs should this be added or that be needed in the future. This facilitated the Trustees to look at alternatives. We came across Church Pages and I contacted Heather by phone. What an absolute joy to speak with someone who spoke my language. Heather asked a few questions as to what we were looking for, and sent through a quote that was much more affordable.

The finished website looked amazing, and we know that we can ask questions and get assistance should we need it."

Fr. Joe, St Stephen's Church, Guernsey

St Stephen's Church, Guernsey has been a sacred place to encounter God through the richness of liturgy, the Bible, Mass, and Baptism for over 150 years.

How the website was designed and built

St Stephen's was looking to refresh their website, but found their existing provider's quote rather expensive. Finding Church Pages online they got in touch to see how we could help them.

This was the start of a number of telephone and email conversations between the Trustees and the Church Pages' team to decide what the website should look like. From this information we were able to create a site using the Isaiah template that reflected the vision that St Stephen's had had for their website..

We provide access to the site (that was yet to be published) and Fr. Joe commented that, "The ability to play with the website and to see what we could do (without anyone else seeing our amateur bungling) was tremendously helpful. After a few initially hesitant attempts at posting pictures etc. we gained the confidence to try other things." .

The finished website benefits from:

A modern website that reflects the tradition of St Stephen's.

A responsive website that works well on mobiles and tablets.

A site wide search.

A "Verse of the Day" panel that updates automatically.

An easy to edit and maintain site.

Optimisation

The Church Page's team on hand to help if needed!

What else did Church Pages do?

We followed up with training on how to use the site and tweaked the church's logo so that it was more user friendly

How did the website go live?

Once St Stephen's were happy with the site we helped them with the practicalities of changing the domain name's records so the site could go live.

Conclusion

Fr. Joe and his congregation were very happy with the website and felt supported by the Church Pages' team.

We spoke with Steve Crosse on the phone, and having determined what he needed, it was decided that the Isaiah template would work best with some bespoke design added in. We were then able to create a vibrant and engaging website that is easy to navigate.

How the website was designed and built

Neill Stannard contacted us because they had a vision of what they wanted for the website and felt that Church Pages could help create this. Working with Neill's wife Kirsty we were able to design and build a site that reflected a parish comprising of three churches.

We were able to use the logo to design some attractive branded backgrounds that added to the bespoke nature of the website. With Church Pages each website is designed for the church and although we base it on a "template" each site is individual. This is important so that the design reflects the type of church that is represented along with their vision and beliefs.

We were given a clear brief by the church, which helped us decide fonts and colours.

The finished website benefits from:

An easy to navigate website that is visually engaging.

A responsive site designed that works well on tablets and mobiles.

A site wide search.

"The website looks great and heaps of thanks for Church Pages help to get it live in time for our deadline."

Laurette Burton, Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Southwold

The Catholic Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Southwold with St Edmund, King & Martyr, Halesworth is a vibrant Catholic Community in East Suffolk, within the diocese of East Anglia.

How the website was designed and built

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Parish is located in one of the prettiest areas in the country. Southwold is a quintessential coastal town with an award winning beach, and a stunning long pier. It is a popular destination for tourists and the Parish was aware that they needed to redesign their website so that visitors knew when services were, and where their Parish churches were situated. The Parish chose the Boaz catalogue because they wanted to keep their site as simple as possible.

With this in mind, and being provided with excellent copy, and some images we set to work creating the website. We were able to source stock images that worked well on the website, including a fabulous shot of Southwold pier.

The finished website benefits from:

A professionally designed website that met the Parish's requirements.

A site that works well on mobiles and tablets.

An easy to edit content management system that the admins in the Parish can update.

Optimisation

What else did Church Pages do?

Providing training to the Parish's administrators was essential so that they could keep the website up to date. Of course we are always on hand if they need help!

How did the website go live?

The Parish was given the relevant information on how to point the old website to the new one. We set up 301 redirects and added in structure data to help the change over quickly.

Conclusion

The Catholic Parish of Southwold & Halesworth were very thankful with all the work that Church Pages undertook to create their website, and pleased that we could deliver their site within the time line given.
