Holy Trinity Weston Launch New Responsive Church Website

One of the greatest pleasures of working for the Church Pages Initiative is knowing that you are doing something to further God's kingdom. As this Initiative was born out of prayer by the owners of Khooseller, a turnkey eCommerce and inventory management platform, the excitement at being able to bless a church as part of our gleaning is tangible.

Our MD once spent a summer at CAP (Christians Against Poverty), and she said the best part of working there was hearing the ring of the bell when someone came to faith as part of CAP's work. I think that we share that sense of joy and anticipation when a new Church Pages website is launched. We work closely with our churches, pray for them, and enjoy the journey that we walk together as we create a new website for them. And above all we want the website to work for them so that they can reach their neighbourhood, whether that is young families, single parents, students, divorcées, teenagers, or the elderly. Christ came for all and we want to help provide websites that facilitate that.

So what has that to do with Holy Trinity Weston, Southampton?! When I first spoke to Daron Medway at Holy Trinity Weston (the Vicar!) I was immediately struck by his incredible heart and love for his community. And he understood their daily struggles and wanted to have a website that everyone could access, and know immediately that it was ok to drop in, whatever circumstance they find themselves in.

Weston, Southampton has featured in the national news as an area that suffers from child poverty. With its famous tower blocks, Weston has been painted as a place without hope. However, the church's belief in Jesus' transforming power is so counter to what the news would have you believe, that we were thrilled when they chose Church Pages to work with to create a website that reflected the heart of the church, and their demographic.

The church wanted to use the Damascus design template and had a fabulous logo to work with. We were also blessed with some excellent photographs that reflected the church's congregation and outreach activities. We also provided the church with an access only area so that members of the church could login and access rotas, church minutes and agendas, and prayer requests.

It took time for the website to be created because Daron is a busy man, but Holy Trinity Weston's site is finally live and works responsively, and looks good.

And this is Daron's response:

“Getting a high quality website can be a big task for a small church, but with the help and support of Church Pages we now have one! Their patience, gentleness and professionalism has been outstanding from start to finish and we’re so pleased with the result. Our website now captures the personality of our church perfectly, and keeping it up-to-date is really easy too!”
