How does a Church Pages website work with Church Suite?

19 June 2018 09:58

We're excited to show how we are linking with Church Suite to further improve how churches communicate both internally and externally.

What Is Church Pages and What is Church Suite?

What is Church Pages?

Church Pages is...us! We provide responsive church websites with a variety of features available such as a homepage, contact page, directories, responsive for mobile and tablets, social media Integration, and sermon uploads.

Church Pages can be setup to include a contact management system, and if you'd like more information about this, do get in touch. However, if you use Church Suite, this article shows how you can use both systems together.

What is Church Suite?

Church Suite is a popular Church Management System that is used by many churches to simplify the administration, managing data, and communication for their church. It includes a variety of features such as an Address book, Rotas, calendars, Giving/Donations, and Attendance.

How can you use Church Pages and Church Suite Together?

Church Pages and Church Suite can be used together to aid your church communications and it's a matter of finding what works best for your church. Church Pages is great at communicating to your community and wider church family all of the events going on, and Church Suite can help with your individual and group communications.

This means that whilst your Church Pages website is your 'window to the world', Church Suite help you keep in touch with your congregation for specific events, updates and reminders.

Here are three specific ways that you can link in features from Church Suite into your Church Pages website:

1) You can integrate in your Church Suite forms...

Forms can be integrated from Church Suite into your Church Pages website, an example of this being used in on the Christ Church Fulham website. They used a Church Suite contact form on their welcome page. The data that the users fill out on this page is sent to their Church Suite account where it can be stored and managed along with the rest of their church data. The way that it's integrated into Church Pages is by using some embed code from Church Suite that we add to an iframe, keeping the content responsive.

You can read about how to embed a newcomer connect form from Church Suite into your Church Pages website here.

2) You can link in your group sign-ups...

St Johns Crawley has links to their sign-up to groups page integrated with Church Suite. The way that they did this is by creating the sign up in Church Suite and then adding a button on Church Pages that links through. When their users click the links, they are redirected to a form on Church Suite. Once there, they can fill out the forms, and the data is then stored in Church Suite.

When you click this link it then directs you to the Church Suite sign up page as below:

3) You can add your Church Suite Calendar onto your Church Pages website in an iframe

If you want to show your Church Suite calendar on your website, this is best done through an iframe - which basically displays your Church Suite calendar in a window on your Church Pages website. Christ Church Fulham have added their calendar from Church Suite to their Church Pages website using an iframe.

Alternatively, we can do this via a JSON integration and do let us know if you'd like to consider this route.

You can read more about embedding a Church Suite calendar in your website here.
