St Lawrence with St Paul, Longridge

We’re a church with very few ‘techies’ in our midst and limited resources so initially the prospect of trying to develop a new church website that was both usable, easy to update, and welcoming to newcomers seemed like a daunting task. However, since someone recommended Church Pages to us we’ve not looked back.

Heather and the rest of her team have guided us through the whole build process seamlessly, with friendliness, expertise, patience and a genuine willingness to help deliver a contemporary website that definitely meets our needs. Having Church Pages host our website has also made life easier.

We’re now delighted to have a professional and fresh-looking website that reflects the journey we’re on as a church and enables visitors to gain a good understanding of our church and its mission.

I, now in turn, have no qualms in passing on my own recommendation for Church Pages to any church that’s passionate about building God’s Kingdom and helping more people get to know Jesus'

Revd. Mike Barton, Vicar of St Lawrence with St Paul, Longridge.

St Lawrence with St Paul, Longridge is a church that describes itself as "A growing church for people of all ages and backgrounds learning to follow Jesus in a loving community".

Mike Barton contacted Church Pages in the autumn of 2017 because a friend of his was using the Church Pages software and was very pleased with it. St Lawrence with St Paul already had a website, but they wanted something more contemporary and easy to edit so that they could improve their outreach to their local community.

How the website was designed and built

As with all our Church Pages design and builds we asked for certain bits of information, along with images for the site, before the project commenced. We were fortunate to work with a member of St Lawrence with St Paul's congregation, Jean, who was incredibly organised, and the information was sent through promptly. We worked with her imagery, and new logo, to create a website that reflected the beauty of the local area along with the caring and loving members of the church.

We were very pleased with the finished website that benefits from the following:

  • An engaging and friendly page that immediately reflects the welcoming ethos of the church.
  • A website that is filled with easy to access information about the church and how they help the community.
  • Sermons uploaded.
  • Google map so that the church can be found easily.
  • Links to social media so that people can connect online.

What else did Church Pages do?

The church's website benifitted from optimisation, structured data, and links to social media. We provided the site with a Secure Certificate.

How did the website switch from the old one to the new Church Pages website?

We purchased the domain for St Lawrence with St Paul, Longridge and so this made it very easy for the site to go live. The old site was then closed.

Conclusion

We were very pleased to be able to help St Lawrence with St Paul Longridge with their new website. Seeing the site come together was particularly satisfying, especially as it shows clearly that it is a very welcoming church, full of families, and located in a beautiful part of the country.

The site works well on all devices and can be simply updated. We are excited by how the website will help St Lawrence with St Paul outreach to its local community.
