How Becky found, not only a father, but also a family and it all started on Google.

What is Becky's Story?

Becky spoke at the Leadership Conference 2019 (Brighton hub) in May, and we were so encouraged by her story that we've got her permission to share how she came to find her new church family online.

As Becky shared,  "I went to church schools which was, 'Put your hands together, shut up and pray!' And my Nan's quite a reserved Christian, she does it in private. She calls herself a 'Christmas Christian' so comes for the celebrations so I was never really was introduced to faith at all, never grew up around faith really."

"At 17, I fell pregnant and at our 20 week scan, I was told I was having a little boy". Becky went on to share about how she experienced difficulties in her pregnancy but also how, although she didn't have a faith, she "knew that God had told me there and then he was going to be ok".

When her baby Rory arrived, she "decided to get him baptised and we were looking around for churches and so we had a little Google". The next part of the story, for us, was so incredibly encouraging... "I found the St John's Crawley website... and thought, they look normal enough..!"

From there, Becky shares about how she went on Alpha and experienced the Holy Spirit, and is now regularly attending church. In her words "I have found not only a faith, but a church family"

This is our vision for Church Pages, that churches would have a church website online that can be easily found by people in your community and we are so pleased to hear of how one of our websites is helping this happen.
