Killamarsh Methodist Church Has Its First Church Website!

09 June 2022 11:15

When Killamarsh Methodist Church first contacted us we were very excited to be asked to help create their first website. Killamarsh Methodist Church is a small church, but is very active in its local community. With their external banner stating "All are welcome" we wanted to reflect this ethos of the church within their website.

How did we help?

From the moment that we spoke with Killamarsh's contact, David, we knew that we would be working with a church that has a real heart for their community. The church is featured on the Methodist Church's Sheffield website, but the church wanted to have a stronger presence on the web so that they could let Killamarsh know what was happening at the church.

The church decided on the Boaz template as it fitted their needs perfectly. Images were sent through and working closely with David we were able to put the site together quickly. We chose appropriate colours and fonts that reflected the strong, outward focus of the church, and its bright upbeat nature. Legibility and the user's journey were also important to us and therefore we ensured that all copy was presented in a user-friendly way.

We also gave David early access to the church website's admin area so that he could edit content himself. Even without training David found the support material so good that he was able to edit pages, duplicate pages, and add in images himself with no trouble. Our content management system is designed to keep things simple, but it is always a pleasure when we have feedback that it is working how we intended it to!

Moving forward

David will be shortly attending an online training session of Church Pages' software, along with another member of the church. We do not limit the number of admin users, and each can have their own login. Administrators can work on the site at the same time and from any location, which makes editing the site simpler.

David said: “Working with Church Pages has been great and the new site is brilliant! I can't believe just how easy it is to make changes and I am so pleased that our Killamarsh Methodist Church now has its own website. We can now share with our community all that we are doing and feel that having the website will help us to serve them better."
