Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Southwold
"The website looks great and heaps of thanks for Church Pages help to get it live in time for our deadline."
Laurette Burton, Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Southwold
The Catholic Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Southwold with St Edmund, King & Martyr, Halesworth is a vibrant Catholic Community in East Suffolk, within the diocese of East Anglia.
How the website was designed and built
The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Parish is located in one of the prettiest areas in the country. Southwold is a quintessential coastal town with an award winning beach, and a stunning long pier. It is a popular destination for tourists and the Parish was aware that they needed to redesign their website so that visitors knew when services were, and where their Parish churches were situated. The Parish chose the Boaz catalogue because they wanted to keep their site as simple as possible.
With this in mind, and being provided with excellent copy, and some images we set to work creating the website. We were able to source stock images that worked well on the website, including a fabulous shot of Southwold pier.
The finished website benefits from:
- A professionally designed website that met the Parish's requirements.
- A site that works well on mobiles and tablets.
- An easy to edit content management system that the admins in the Parish can update.
- Optimisation
What else did Church Pages do?
Providing training to the Parish's administrators was essential so that they could keep the website up to date. Of course we are always on hand if they need help!
How did the website go live?
The Parish was given the relevant information on how to point the old website to the new one. We set up 301 redirects and added in structure data to help the change over quickly.
Conclusion
The Catholic Parish of Southwold & Halesworth were very thankful with all the work that Church Pages undertook to create their website, and pleased that we could deliver their site within the time line given.
