Creating an iTunes podcast from your Sermon feed

17 January 2017 11:50

Church Pages are delighted to share how to create an iTunes podcast from your sermon feed.

According to Apple, back in 2013 there were over 250,000 unique podcasts globally, with a billion subscriptions. As we know, 'faith comes through hearing' and therefore what better way to get the word out, than to list your sermons on iTunes.

To enable you to add your sermons, follow these simple steps:

1) Make sure your sermons are on your website

Your website is the place where new or existing churchgoers will find out about your church. We highly recommend that you list your sermons on your website. Using the Church Pages uploader, sermons are simple to upload and you can add information about the date, author and let your congregation listen from your website.

Additionally, in order to make an iTunes podcast, you'll need to ensure your sermons are already uploaded to your website.

2) Create an iTunes podcast from your media feed

Once you have your sermons uploaded onto your Church Pages website, you can follow the guidance on the Khooseller support page here, to create an iTunes podcast from your media feed.

This will take you through creating an iTunes podcast and changing the category of your podcast. This will allow your podcast to be found in the correct place within iTunes.

3) Get subscribing!

Now you're done! You can now tell your congregation about your new podcast and they can get subscribing.

Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or would like any further support. It is the word that changes lives, and so we are delighted to support ensuring the word is heard!
